研究紹介
山下 正の研究では、公衆衛生学および公衆衛生看護学を基盤に、社会的背景や生活環境が人々の健康にどのように関わるのかを明らかにすることを目指しています。特に、移民・外国人住民のメンタルヘルス、社会的孤立・健康格差、国際フィールドにおける母子保健・地域保健を主要なテーマとして、量的研究、縦断研究、質的研究、国際共同研究に取り組んでいます。

移民・外国人住民の健康とメンタルヘルス
日本で暮らす外国人住民や移民が経験する孤独、抑うつ・不安、物質的困窮、自殺関連思考などに着目し、社会的背景や生活環境とメンタルヘルスの関連を検討しています。特に、在日ベトナム人を対象とした横断研究・縦断研究を通じて、COVID-19パンデミック下における心理的健康の実態とその関連要因を明らかにしてきました。

社会的孤立・健康格差・社会環境と健康
孤独や社会的孤立、物質的困窮、差別や排除的言説など、社会環境が健康に与える影響に関心を持っています。近年は、移民を取り巻く社会的・政治的環境が健康研究や健康支援に及ぼす影響についても検討し、個人の健康を社会構造や制度的文脈の中で捉える研究を進めています。

国際フィールドにおける母子保健・地域保健研究
フィリピンをはじめとするアジア地域をフィールドとして、母子保健、産後ケア、保健医療サービス利用、保健医療従事者の実践上の課題に関する研究を行ってきました。現地の研究者・医療者との協働を通じて、地域の文脈に即した保健サービスの課題を明らかにし、実践に活かせる知見の創出を目指しています。
